Do you not know?   Have you not heard?  The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.  His understanding is unsearchable.  He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.    Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength;  They shall mount up with wings like eagles,  They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.  (Isaiah 40:28-31)  No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17)   Let the redeemed of the Lord say so (Psalm 107:2)  We are the redeemed!  Glory to God always!

About Us

I am Jen, mother of four, writer of Samuel's Journal and the Backus Family Blog.   I  have been married to the love of my life and my best friend on this earth, Mark since 1996.   Our four children all born at home in the bathtub:   Kaysha, Daniel, Samuel and Anna.    We homeschool our children and work at home as much as possible.  Our lives revolve around our children and raising them right.  We strive for this daily.  Nothing is more important. 

Mom and Me Creations was inspired by Samuel.  When he was born, I knew I wanted to create things that would make his life better, and that desire led to the need to share those things with the world.  Samuel is the "Me" of Mom and Me Creations and always will be. 

My hope in creating this website is that you will feel the love our family has for each other as well as God's love for you.  This site is Samuel's legacy and record of all that has happened to him since his cancer diagnosis all the way through his rebirth into Heaven.  I have kept meticulous accounts of all we have went through as well as are still going through both on this site as well as on our family blog.  Through it all, God has been good to us. 

We believe God is a miracle worker today, tomorrow and always.  Samuel is our miracle for which we count our blessings daily.  This has been a long hard journey which is not yet over for us.  But we still believe that God is working things out in our favor and we trust Him fully.  Samuel is now with Jesus and we KNOW he is advocating for us now, in Heaven.

We could not have gotten this far without the love and support of our online family and we could never thank you enough.

So many have asked that we share what we do for our family, so I have created these pages and update them regularly.   I strongly suggest you hire a ND, NHD or Herbalist to assist you if you or your child has a serious medical condition and you wish to use CAM treatments.   This site is for information and education only and is based on information I have received from MD's, ND's and Herbalists as well as from our own experience with our son's cancer.   In my way of thinking, prevention is much better than trying to cure a disease.   Information gathered and presented here is based on OUR choices and things that worked for our family.   I am not responsible for your choices and I am not an MD.    All of our pages are copyrighted and are the result of years of research and trial and error.  Please ask before copying my notes.  I appreciate a link back to our site in return for the use of our info.
